REDWOOD DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI
Fifteen years ago Redwood High School celebrated its 50th Anniversary and established both the Redwood Athletic Hall of Fame and the Avenue of Giants to recognize the excellence of its students. These students not only excelled in their chosen sports or career paths, but they are role models for future students.They continue to give back to their communities. 2025 AVENUE OF GIANTS:
- Aviva Rosenthal ’90 Director of the Office of international Relations at the Smithsonian Institution, she works globally on such issues as climate change and biodiversity loss and protecting cultural heritage at risk from war and terrorism.
- Paige Wiley Peterson ’73 Author, illustrator, painter, photojournalist and Board member for National Council on U.S Arab Relations
- Dan Schlager ’77 and Bill Baringer ’77 worked together on many patents, including the development and licensing of GPS wireless technology to cell phones. They were considered as a team although each has made many individual contributions in other areas.
