School Story:

Wonderful memories of my friends, teachers, coaches (including Stan Buchanan who was both my (freshman) basketball coach and my (sophomore) English teacher; he was a very strong role model for me...
Also, great memories of Sylvia Jones, Doug Basham (who was also my track coach, and another strong role model), and many others. My teachers at Redwood were outstanding, setting me up for what seemed to be relatively easy work at UC Davis, UC Berkeley (graduate school; M.S. in Chemistry) and George Washington University Medical School (MD, with focus on normal and abnormal brain development and its effects on the developmental outcomes of the children).

Phil,
This is Jim Barkovich again. Please let me know if you have the time and desire to go out for a walk sometime, either in Eastern Marin (we live in Mill Valley) or in Corte Madera. Time is growing short and we are both getting older, and it is a shame to lose friendships...
Hope to hear from you soon!

Phil, This is Barko getting in touch. Ever since my mom and dad passed on, I haven't had any good reasons to walk to East Corte Madera and visit with you. Let's try to get together for a walk at least once a week in order to maintain the friendship that we have shared over the past 30-plus years. It's really pretty easy for me to walk to east Corte Madera at least once a week and go on hikes or go swimming or just do something fun. We were doing that pretty frequently for a few years and then everything just seemed to stop; maybe it was because I was living in Mill Valley?? Anyway, if you are at all interested, I would definitely enjoy hanging out with you for a day or two (at least) each week. Do you think we can make that work? If so, please walk or drive over to 105 Reed Street in Mill Valley or just give me a call; we are not far away and it would be great to spend some time with you again.
Jim Barkovich (Now living at 105 Reed Street in Mill Valley).
