Growing up in Tiburon, we always referred to him as "Spike", and he was another of the Tiburon gang that included John Cross, Wood V, Davis Beere, Andy Hoots, Steve Dal Bon, Kerry Moriarity, and several others. "Spike" was quite a character back in the day, and I remember that he and the rest of the infamous gang that graduated
from Del Mar back in 1966 were very rebellious and tried many teachers' patience. It's so sad to see that Andy, Steve, and Spike are no longer around. I remember playing little league ball with Spike and his
older brother. I always liked him, in spite of his rapscallion nature! Does anyone know what misfortune befell Spike?
one of the wild bunch for sure, spike, andy hoots, tracy bittner, john cross, matt la flamme, fred dupuis aubrey stokes steve doobie dal bon john whitelaw, way too many of us tiburon boys gone now aloha spike
I am years late to this "party", but memories of Spike are vivid and held very dear---especially playing music with him (moments of brilliance on his Fender Strat) in---wait for it....in our garage: where else?!? I trust he is still flying around in his metallic-blue convertible in some dimension where "squee-hawlin'" (as he called it) through way-too-many-watts of unconstrained power is still appreciated. Go, Spike, go!!!
